Topic: ethical issues in documentary photography

My thesis:
One of the major debated that are talking on in today’s world is the ethical issues in documentary photography. It is always hard to define the relationship between photographers and the objects being photographed, and also what is a good documentary picture. In this paper, I look at two key photographers. One is the South African photojournalist, Kevin Carter, who took the one of the most controversial photo: The Starving Sudan. And another is a Chinese photographer Lu Nan who spent 15 years to complete the most influential documentary series in China. I argue that weather the moral ethics that behind the photography is more important or the action that public can give is more important. And also, is there any solution can help balance the demand of photographers, the objects that be photographed and the public.
